Carole S. Ben-Maimon, M.D.
President, Global Pharmaceuticals
Dr. Ben-Maimon comes to Impax with a broad base of executive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She was most recently senior vice president,corporate strategy consulting to the president, chief executive officer and investors at Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to her roleat Qualitest, sheheld executive positions with Barr Pharmaceuticals, including president and chief operating officer of Duramed Research (formerly known as Barr Research), a subsidiary of Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. and with Teva Pharmaceuticals USA where she was senior vice president, Science and Public Policy. From 1996 to 2000, she served as senior vice president, Research and Development at Teva. She has also served as president and chief executive officer of Alita Pharmaceuticals, Inc. – a company which she founded. She served as the chairman of the board of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association from 2000 to 2003, and is also a published author of numerous scientific and clinical articles. Dr. Ben-Maimon is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College and received a bachelor of artsin biology from The University of Pennsylvania where she graduated magna cum laude. She is board certified in internal medicine, and completed clinical and research training in nephrology at Thomas Jefferson University.
Richard Ting
Senior Vice President, Generic R&D
Richard Ting has served as Senior Vice President of R&D since 2008. He previously served as Vice President of Generic Product Development since 2005. Mr. Ting joined Impax Laboratories in 1995, prior to its merger with Global Pharmaceuticals, and held several leadership positions with increasing responsibilities in R&D. He is responsible in overseeing the majority of the approved Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs), and a growing product pipeline of pending and under development ANDAs. Mr. Ting’s expertise is in modified release formulations and he’s the inventor of many Impax’ proprietary drug delivery technologies. Mr. Ting received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley
David Berman
Vice President, Business Development
David Berman joined Global Pharmaceuticals in 2008 as Vice President of Business Development. He leads Global’s partnering and M&A efforts and also contributes to the company’s internal product selection. He previously worked at Taro Pharmaceuticals as Vice President of Business Development and also held roles across various functional areas. Prior to his time at Taro, he spent several years trading chemical commodities in Asia and Europe. David earned his BA from Emory University and his MBA from Columbia University.
Todd Engle
Senior Director, Sales, Marketing and Sales Operations
Todd Engle joined Global Pharmaceuticals in 2006 and is currently the Director of Generic Sales and Operations. He is responsible for sales, sales planning, contract management, government pricing and customer service and alliance management. Mr. Engle has a diverse background in the pharmaceutical industry with over 20 years of experience. Before joining Global, he worked for Merck in roles of increasing responsibility in Operations and Sales and Marketing, including Sales, Managed Care, and Marketing Communications. Mr. Engle received a Bachelor's of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. He later received his MBA in Finance from St. Joseph’s University.
